50 Squaremeters
of Germany

These are shots of the Pforzheim pedestrian underpass, which I heavily edited to strengthen its dark and threatening atmosphere. The goal was to create a series of interesting pictures within a limited space and without the use of heavy equipment.

Charlotte
Gainsbourg

This shooting was done in the studio as a part of Carolina Hochhalter’s fashion project at Pforzheim University in 2008. The personality of the French actress and singer Charlotte Gainsbourg served as a basis for the outfits as well as the mood of the pictures.

Streets
of India

These are some random shots I made during my trip through India beginning of 2009. I was fascinated by the chaos on the roads in Delhi and Bombay, the striking contrasts of smells, colors & people. Reflections

These are collages of pictures dealing with the topic of coincidence. By pointing my Camera at reflecting surfaces without looking I tried to minimize my influence on the result to a minimum. The tension was only created afterwards by sorting the shots on a previously created grid.

Studio 54

This was a fun shooting during party preparations for a Studio 54 party in Pforzheim.

Tokyo Pink Punk
Party

Here you find one of our party campaigns, this time for a tokyo street fashion party. We created a whole bunch of freaky characters inspired by the Korean Pucca and made them the centre of our flyers and posters encouraging the people to dress up just as crazy for the party.

Kaufmann
Mikromechanik

This is a Corporate Design for Kaufmann Mikromechanik, a middle sized company in southern Germany trading in tiny mechanical parts. I tried to adapt their previous color scheme and to combine it with a contemporary business appearance.

Travechemie

Here you find another Corporate Design, this one was created for a company dealing in chemicals in the city of Lübeck in Northern Germany. The ‘Trave’ is a river which is very important for that particular region and so it seemed necessary to implement a symbol for water into the logo.

Traveskipper

This one is a plain black and white Corporate Design which also features the Trave topic but this time it is for a boat and sailing school. Since the school also offers handwork like ship knots or origami, the paper boat was the right choice for a meaningful logo.

AbeBooks.com

This is a university project for the online book trading platform AbeBooks.com. We tried to provide evolutionary design ideas to improve the user experience on the one hand and furthermore we delivered revolutionary approaches to move the AbeBooks frontend to the next level of online shopping.

It’s magic

This was an approach to present the different study paths at the design faculty of Pforzheim University as an interactive flash presentation. We took one student from each study path (Visual Communication, Transportation Design, Industrial Design) and used them as clickable avatars who would guide the user through different pieces of work.

A short film to the topic of coding / decoding. Two poems of a friend were taken as a basis for the picture material which was later shot in Frankfurt, Germany. The aesthetics of the images were supposed to illustrate the spoken word without taking the focus.

Visual
Pollution

This short film was created in 4th semester for audio visual media class in collaboration with Nikolai Reichelt. It describes the everlasting struggle with visual elements in our urban environment and transmits this topic into an extraordinary dream world.

The Cube Of Life

This is a cute handdrawn animation about a mysterious cube. It was created for trick film class using the old school way: picture by picture with pen and paper.

Nothing™

This is my Bachelor graduation project at Pforzheim University. My topic was “Critical debate about the commercialisation and the misuse of modern design” and I tried to combine the facets of globalisation in respect of advertising & marketing with a new kind of film aesthetics that go beyond our viewing habits from the mass media. Furthermore I tried to put this profound topic into a cynical and entertaining story in order to make people reflect their situation in our current society where our main role seems to be being a human resource for the multinational corporations.
